The Old Guide

We had three pre-reg shooters and they all showed up. No walk-ons. One shooter from Maine, one from Mass and one from Vermont which left 19 empty spots on the covered line. The club president had used his Kubota tractor to blow snow out of our shooting lanes so we could shoot prone. Devil Dog is also an Orange Hat. We shot the Redcoat target, fired all day, got the three strikes in and much improvement was made. Our Vermont shooter drummed out Rifleman scores again and our other two shooters improved significantly. The lady from Mass had never fired a firearm before, but she is a quick learner and a first year law school student. Her family was from a place called Da Lat, the site of Teddy Roosevelt's tiger hunting cabin. Her grandfather has been in that cabin.

Three shooters and three "Hats" Made for a very safe shoot and much improvement. Alas, all three elected to head for home after Saturday because of our snowstorm today. so our Winterseed was a one day shoot. All three shooters plan to be back for our memorial shoot on April 27/28.

Everybody oohed and aahed over my brand new Tippmann M4-22 Appleseed Logo rifle.
Our history is not a list of dates and places. It is a dynamic adventure of freedom and individual courage.

Sounds like a sweet shoot. It's great that Maine can offer refuge to shooters from the other, less free New England states.

The cream always rises to the top, especially in the wintertime. Those were your three filled spaces.
