It was a chilly weekend, but a few hardy souls ventured out in the sub-freezing temperatures to celebrate our American heritage.  Seeing three M1 Garands on the line was a rare treat.  A few equipment issues were dealt with or worked around, and by Saturday afternoon progress was being made and proficiency was increasing.    &)

Sunday morning was even chillier than Saturday, but then Fullmetal Rifleman showed up and we sang "Happy Birthday" for her and things got warmer.  The student/instructor ratio was so low that any instructor who wanted to got in some trigger time, and three of them took advantage of this to re-qualify.  Crazyduckhunter scored 223, TomMPR scored 222, and CharlesMcKinley scored 220 to establish the cred of the instructor crew.    :snipersmi

Thanks to the ladies from TWAW for making that looong drive and for persisting throughout the weekend.  Hope to see you again at an event next spring!  Thanks to Fullmetal Rifleman for the cake, and Happy Birthday!     :birthday:

People ask me..... Why do you Appleseed?
Well a weekend like this is a first class example of WHY...I do.
A great crew to work with at an awesome club that is a great supporter of Appleseed!
Thanks to those that stuck with us through the cold weekend. The shooters were awesome and soaked up instruction from the Appleseed fire hose like a duck takes to water.
Thanks to EZE3 for giving me some trigger time. I appreciate.

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
