KD at VETS Shooting center 17 December 2018

Another KD practice session completed at the Vets Shooting Center! KD steel was engaged from 300 to 500 yards with an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel with Redfield 3x9 scope and a good ol' M14 with SWFA 6X scope.

For one of those Appleseed KD's with steel targets and you're an AR shooter, I can heartily recommend the 6.5 Grendel for some serious ringing of steel! While it doesn't hit the steel with the same authority as a .308, it is much more than .223/5.56! Plus performance in the wind is much better than .223/5.56 and all in a standard AR15 package! Will do excellent on those official KD's east of the Mississippi coming up in 2019.

We meet at Vets 3-4 times a month for some KD, reduced course AQT as well as sidearm and shotgun shooting, if anyone wants to meet for some of this activity, let us know!
