A couple of these are overdue, so without FURTHER ado...

Back in February at the event in El Paso, you folks picked up some fresh blood, and by golly you didn't even KNOW IT!

First, a young feller from Las Cruces, NM, screen name Dude1987, while attending his second Appleseed in El Paso, TX, scored himself a Rifleman's score, and got annointed with some pretty darn chilly Concord River water in the process!  Dude has some physical difficulties that more than qualify him for an Adaptive course of fire. But he persisted, as Riflemen do, and pushed himself to the limit to complete the AQT AS WRITTEN, with an AR15, no less.  Huzzah, brother, and welcome to the family!

Second, a somewhat less young feller from Hatch, NM, who goes by the handle Borracho, came along at that SAME event.  He, like Dude, persisted, and shot his qualifying score with a bolt-action rifle. No small feat by any standard!  This English teacher is a welcome addition to NM's cadre, and is already showing his mettle at events.

At last, we come to "Mrs. Borracho,"  who calls herself Tinker.  This fine lady, also an English teacher, was already offering to help out at our events in any way we needed her, and it was my personal honor to offer her the blue hat of the Applecore at our most recent event here in El Paso.  Her friendly personality, organizational skills, and experience ramrodding overgrown children will no doubt prove invaluable to our program.  (And, frankly, help keep this shoot boss from losing her everloving mind  :wb: :wb: :wb:)

Welcome, all, to the Appleseed volunteer  and instructor cadre!  We're blessed to have each and every one of you!
