ARR-Manatee Gun and Archery Club Myakka City Fl. 15/16 Sept 2018

Sunshine Patriots, it is obvious to all that Thomas Paine never was at a Appleseed in Myakka City Florida in Sept. Had he been at one of those shoots, he would have held such people in the highest esteem.

Seven persistent Patriots braved the heat of September sun and a few vestigial breezes on Saturday. The heat index going above 100 before 10am staying there till well after the shoot was over. With a peak of 106%f in the afternoon.

The heat did take a toil on our shooters and Instructor with 2 shooters taking themselves off the line in the afternoon and even I had to take myself off the line to do a cooldown in the truck for a while. I was blessed at this shoot by having outstanding friends Instructing with me, so the shoot never got off track and the safety standards of Project Appleseed were never compromised. Thank you ladygator, scubasteve, drumngun, hatethesnow and savage22 I'm honored to know you.

Sunday arrived just as hot but the Myakka breeze that is the norm had returned. This was also supplemented by a monster shop fan provided by Savage22 cooling down the shooting line.
O0 Billy our youngest shooter returned and made much progress throughout entire day. Persistence, the key to being a Rifleman, his family had much to be proud of in that young man.
Our adult shooters learned a lot about themselves and their equipment. They made a fine showing in marksmanship skills with very good scores but alas no RIFLEMEN. One of our shooter who was banging on the AQT door all day ended up with a heartbreaking 209. He will be back. :---

Angel (savage22) old Orange Hat was retired with a bang as he had passed his PC to take up a more fashionable color. Congratulation's Sir, well earned. HUZZAH!!!!
Also David (need screen name) who has shot score at other events ask to join the cadre and take the Orange Hat. He will most-likely be joining us on the line the 29/30 in Hernando.  ^:)^

Thanks to all the student who joined us. Manny, Billy, John, David, Timothy, Joe and David Revolutionary's ALL  :F

308LIBERTY

"We have always looked upon men as a set of beings naturally free - that a people can never be divested of those invaluable rights and liberties which are necessary to the happiness of individuals, to the well-beings of communities or to a well regulated state, but by their own negligence, imprudence, timidity or rashness. They are seldom lost, but when foolishly forfeited or tamely resigned." ~Jonas Clarke
