What a great weekend at the Coshocton Gun Club range.

While, earlier in the week, it looked like we might have fairly light attendance, several more stepped forward to join us at the last minute.

We began by shooting the opening Redcoat, then sharing the components of building a solid foundation. While rain was in the forecast for the afternoon, we were fortunate enough that it held off until we were inside the storehouse and sharing the third strike. Then the skies opened up for the downpour that had been building up all afternoon. Fortunately, we had stowed all of the gear prior to moving indoors.

Sunday brought milder weather, which was a relief for all. After the morning Redcoat, we moved to carding the sights, to see if our targets would be our friends or our foes, as we all know that targets don't lie, they become our report cards.

We were also joined by three very accomplished shooters. Ed, Hannah and Jess came out to help fill the line. All three re-qualified, with very respectable scores.

Even though we didn't see any new Riflemen this weekend, several were close. Talon could almost taste victory, with a 208 and a 209. Several others were close, as well. If Lee hadn't had equipment issues, I believe that he would have taken a patch home. Connor, we look forward to seeing you at a future event, and I'm certain that you will bring all of the components together and take a patch as well. Dwayne, it was a pleasure sharing the weekend with you and your boys, Colton and Derrick. It was great to have them bring their Heritage, shooting rifles that had been in the family for generations. Come back and bring the family. There is always room on the line.

Chewy joined us, shooting, on Saturday, then stepped forward to move from a Blue Hat to an Orange. He learned the roles of RSO and Line Boss the same weekend. Huzzah!!

Charley and Yankee, thanks so much for making the long drive. You really made the weekend easy, as it would have been a real challenge without you. Catch you down the trail.

Many thanks to the members of the club, who were willing to donate the area for the entire weekend. Without the kindness of members like you, Appleseed could not exist.

Thanks to everyone for joining us for the weekend. And thanks again, to the club, for hosting the event.
