LOST AND FOUND:  XL black fleece and a red stapler.

Yet another wonderful event at Fenton Lake Sportmen's club.  Once again, many thanks to FLSC for their support for Project Appleseed.  It would not be possible without you.

Sunshine both days and temperatures in the lower 80's, fantastic weather. (Truth is, sunny and 80s is considered HOT and dangerous for us pasty northerners)

The Saturday morning red coat was cleared by Tick Wrangler.  He followed that up with 236 on the Saturday AQT, then he cleared the afternoon red coat.  Sunday he cleared the morning red coat and then shot a 240 AQT earning the first distinguished tab I've given out.  WOW!  He can shoot.

Double Dog waited until the very last AQT to earn his Rifleman patch.  It is true, Rifleman persist.  Congratulation.

Ferndale and William are closer than ever.  Keep at it boys.  It is right there.   I'm sure you are frustrated inside but just keep pushing you are so close.

On the last AQT, William was the last shooter on stage 4.  All the instructors were silently cheering for him.  There was a long pause as he checked his npoa.  Another small adjustment.  Recheck NPOA.  Then 3 shots in rifleman's cadence.   O0  Outstanding discipline after a long weekend laying in the sun. Huzzah!

Goldie and Cameron survived the UV torture test.  I hope to see both of you back soon.

Rich, Mike, Mark and Amy were missed on Sunday.  They all were shooting pretty well on Saturday.  We hope to see you all soon.

Congratulations to the IITs.  P7 passed his pc3, TWolf received his long anticipated Michigan patch.  :slap:  P7 told a great 2nd strike. Beatbox did a great job telling us about Luther Blanchard.  TWolf did a good flag tour.

ITB did the Saturday Instructor demo and shot a VERY noisy 212.   :---

John H was shooting well but had to leave early on Sunday.  I hope all is well.

Thank you to all the volunteers for making this event a success.

Now, here are some pictures:

Sorry I couldn't join you all on Saturday, but it was great spending the day with you on Sunday!  Beefree and Josh, thanks for giving me a turn with your respective rifles. Outstanding shooting, Josh - I felt your pain when you had that one flyer on the final redcoat, but 236 is phenomenal- you should be proud. Maybe we'll see you instructing some day. John, I'm glad I was there to see you get your patch. Everyone else, stick with it - you will get there!  Remember to spend some time practicing, you'll discover it's a lot easier to find your NPOA in the quiet & comfort of your home, and that practice will make it easier to do on the range.

Beatbox - nice work, you're going to make a great lineboss!  P7 - great job, congrats!
I really enjoyed doing the flag tour and look forward to digging deeper into those stories for the next time. Supertrooper, thanks for the help!

Another lovely day in Fenton, as I was only there on Satuday, I didn't get to see the Sunday polish put onto the skills you learned on Saturday.

But I was amazed at a first, for me to witness.  Clearing both Redcoats and a 236 on a Saturday,  amazing.

I hope you all had as great a time on Sunday as we did on Saturday.

Until I see you all again

It was a great event - excellent weather and a fine group of patriots to spend the weekend with!  I appreciated all the support, mentoring, and encouragement from Superheat and the other instructors.

I'll post a few photos next. (I tried earlier but I think I tried to post too many in one reply, as nothing happened!)

Looking forward to the next time!

Yes, I know - there is a way, with instructions, to post multiple photos.  For some reason it didn't work for me, and I was only able to post them one at a time.

I sent Scuzzy a PM, letting him know that we are having issues posting pics.

Yes, I know - there is a way, with instructions, to post multiple photos.  For some reason it didn't work for me, and I was only able to post them one at a time.

The post #13 /13 is the only pic that looks like it's been resized. That pic is only about 1/6th the size of the others. Did you resize that one?

Notice that #13 is 1280x960 - which will fit an average size screen.

The others are all around 2 to 3Meg each - which is pretty big. Those pics (other than #13) are around 2448x3264 - bigger than most peoples monitor.

Please look into resizing pics. That's the problem. See this:
