What a great weekend for Liberty! This was a Ladyseed weekend and what a fabulous group of lady shooters we had in  attendance! :) Saturday was, thankfully, a bit overcast which kept the temperature a bit more tolerable. Our ladies showed up ready and excited to learn about rifle marksmanship, April 19th, 1775 and the Revolutionary War Ladies of Liberty! After our opening speech and introductions, we went straight into our course of instruction. All these ladies were first time Appleseeders but you wouldn't know it looking at those first squares targets! They all had enthusiastic,  teachable attitudes and by the 3rd and fourth square were shooting fantastic groups!  We were able to move rather quickly through the next course of instruction. While the overcast sky helped, it was still June in Alabama! We took advantage of the  frequent breaks to tell our shooters about some of the little known Ladies of Liberty by utilizing the RWVA playing cards.
A little before midday, we had quite the downpour so we went ahead and stopped for lunch a bit early, After a long lunch with both  Strike one (TJ8) and Strike two (Christa) being told at that time, our shooters were cooled down and well rested, ready to jump right back into shooting! Drills and instruction continued with an afternoon break for Strike 3 (Google). The entire day continued smoothly and efficiently, allowing for all course of instruction to be taught as well as being able to get in  our first AQT! :~

Sunday dawned sunny and hot, hot, hot! Our ladies returned a little sore but with no loss of enthusiasm and persistence! ^:)^ After some quick reviews, we shot a few sighter squares and then right into the first AQT of the day! At lunch, our shooters enjoyed some more detailed accounts of some of the Ladies of Liberty, with their daring acts of bravery and profound love of liberty. We continued after lunch with more AQT's and drills. But the temperature and humidity began to take their toll and we closed out the day a bit early with a fantastic set of Red Coat targets, one completely cleared and 3 shingle shots!  Every single one of these great ladies was well within striking distances of their rifleman's patch!  ^:)^

Melanie, Marcy, Karen, Lauren, and Michelle, it was an honor and a privilege to spend the weekend with you all! You did a fantastic job! We hope to see each of you again!
