What a wonderful weekend it was.

Celebrating Patriot's Day a little early was amazing.

Nearly 30 folks came out to help us make the weekend special

We started out with the firehose on full and these students soaked it all up.

We stopped for lunch and the first two strikes, then it was back to work!

Groups were starting to come together.  We got in one AQT, no Rifleman scores, but lots of improvement!

Ducky told the 3rd strike and we finished with giving out the Young Patriot's Patches to 5 deserving youth.

Sunday was another gorgeous spring day!

Using the time line of the events on April 19th really seemed to inspire a lot of the students.  I saw a lot of determination to improve positions and NPOA.

Lunch time stories were a hit as usual!

We did the volley after lunch, and it's always a joy to hear the ripping sound of rifles going off at the same time.

We paused mid afternoon for a fun team shoot out the star!!  We ended up with a tie and both teams took home some prizes.

Scott and Julie both repeated Rifleman scores!!!  Congrats to both of you!

Ending the day with CMP reminders and a reminder of what those men and women went through and that we should never forget them.

All in all a wonderful event, full of lots of history and learning.

Thank you all for coming out and hope to see you again soon.

Thank you to my instructors, you were as always awesome!!

Sorry to get this out so late! I had to go out of town, and finally was able to organize some pictures I took of our weekend!

Please accept my apologies if I missed you--I try to get everyone's pic, who has given permission for photos.

Since I left early on Sunday, just wanted to take a moment to give a big, heart-felt thank you to everyone who came out to our event. You really applied yourselves, and it's inspiring to see such a great group of participants who show such determination and interest.  You bring the energy to our events, and enthusiasm like yours, is what keeps me coming back to this crazy voluntary job!

To my fellow instructors--It's great seeing you all out there, and so much fun working with you.

Looking forward to seeing you all out at the range again soon!
Aim well,  :cool2:

Freedom, in a political context, means freedom from government coercion. It does not mean freedom from the landlord, or freedom from the employer, or freedom from the laws of nature which do not provide men with automatic prosperity. It means freedom from the coercive power of the state, and nothing else.--Ayn Rand
