Resignation
« on: February 22, 2018, 02:39:51 AM »
It is with sadness the I am announcing my resignation from active participation in Project Appleseed effective immediately.  I had hoped to work at least part of the 2018 season, but that will not be possible.  I cannot meet the demands of time, energy, focus, excellence, and safety Appleseed demands.
This has come about entirely as result of personal and private reasons and it is with an acute sense of regret that I do so. Appleseed is perhaps the most worthy endeavor I have ever been involved with and my feeling about that has not changed. Since 2011, I have had the pure pleasure of associating with participants, Riflemen, and Instructors that I have the very highest regard for and to whom I wish all success.  To Liberty.
Wally ‘fisherdawg’ Thomas
If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. (James Madison)

"Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had governed ourselves and we always meant to. They didn't mean we should."
(Captain Levi Preston, of the Danvers militia, at age 91, remembering the day)

That it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity, by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve those civil and religious rights and liberties, for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations.  Suffolk Resolves, September 9, 1774, attributed to Dr. Joseph Warren

Seventy seven reads in less than sixteen hours.

That's a lot of speechless people.

Wally has done more than most for the program.  He's just giving the rest of us a chance to catch up some.

The door is always open and the coffee on.  Many blessing in your endeavors.

Thank you for your time and dedication,

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

Well... dang. That's a bummer Wally. I certainly hope that you won't be a stranger.

Maybe you can come back as a shooter sometime and earn some of the spiffy new patches?  ;D

Thank you for all of the hard work you've put in over the last several years!

Thank you for introducing me to this great program, and for all you have done for it over the years!
It was always a ton of fun shooting with you and please let me know if I can ever do anything for you.
