Hello I hope someone here can help me. I picked up an AR-15 CAR upper at a gun show last week. I got had time to play with it Fri night. I ran snap caps though it and they jammed up on me I had to use too much force on the charging handle to get them out. When I looked down the chamber I saw shaving of the plastic snap caps. I cleaned them out with air. I then ran dummy rounds though it with no sticking. I removed the bolt and looked at the locking lugs. It looks like they used a M4 feed ramp upper and a standard rife feed ramp barrel.
1)   Will this give me more issues?
2)   Should I demand an M4 barrel or a standard upper?
3)   Or a 3rd option that some has here.

The company is not open on the weekends. So I will be on the phone with them on Mon.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Kodo,

1. It could cause feeding problems.
2. That's probably the best thing if they will do it in a reasonable amount of time.
3. you could always alter the feed ramps on the standard barrel extension to work with the M4 feed ramps.

There are pictures in this thread.  http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=413393

hope that helps.....

Thanks, they told me a new upper would be at my home in a week. I was ready for a fight but they have great service. I will order for the again.
