Well, George and Kevin had the range and three instructors all to themselves, and they made good use of the resources. The NRA Home Range is always gracious in hosting Appleseed and we're grateful for the support of Mike, Matt, and the entire team there.

George, an experienced Appleseeder who returns after a multi-year hiatus, is still on his quest to qualify and I'm sure he will soon. Kevin is new to the program and made TREMENDOUS progress, from shooting the first Redcoat without a sling and getting double-digits on his first AQT, to cleaning his last one on Tuesday. Both students were exemplary in applying the skills as we taught them and were a pleasure to work with.

Hopefully the word will spread. Fairfax, VA is a suburb of Capital City (ref. Hunger Games) and there aren't many places to shoot; but there are a great many Americans who are interested, and more who need to be interested, in making the personal connections of marksmanship and heritage to the men and women who originally made America great.

I can only hope that everyone who participates in Appleseeds at this venue will spread the word, so that our lines can be filled.
