You can also use foam pipe insulation and pool noodle foam. I have found pool noodles in different thicknesses to help eliminate using multiple layers of thinner insulation which can start to shift after awhile.

The moleskin is a great idea that I am going to steal!!  >:D

whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they
lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.”

Pipe insulation and pool noodle work well, also anti-fatigue mats and mouse pads. You're welcome to steal the moleskin idea.  Anything that helps with comfort on the rifle is welcome.
