Third event completed!
« on: May 15, 2017, 12:58:00 PM »
Hi all!

This is an update post on Project Mapleseed

We are in our third month of operation and have completed three events so far.  We have another 15 or so scheduled this year from New Brunswick to Alberta.  With only 5 instructors, based in Ontario and Quebec, this is no small feat.  On our trip out west, we will be doing 6 events in 10 days!

We have had 20 total participants so far, with 10 of them earning their Rifleman patch!

The feedback from participants has been excellent, including valuable constructive comments that we have integrated into the program along the way. The participants have had varying skill levels, from completely new to national Service Conditions championship competitors.  All of them have learned new skills and found value in our program.

The interest and demand for Project Mapleseed is overwhelming and we are hoping to be able to keep up with it in the future.

We are now in a two week break between events and will be squeezing in some instructor development and planning for the next events.
.50calgrl and I are taking a bit of a vacation in Boston this weekend to tour Battle Road with the MA instructor crew; we are really looking forward to it!

If you are interested in finding out more about Project Mapleseed, you can find our website at and we have a facebook page:

Thanks again to everyone who has helped us along on our journey.

"When it shall be said in any country in the world my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want; the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am a friend of its happiness: When these things can be said, there may that country boast its Constitution and its Government"

Outstanding job! O0
