15 hardy shooters turned out for a wet, raw chilly Saturday in New England and proved once again that the spirit of tenacity that gave our nation its independence is alive and well.  In spite of the weather, we made 4 Rifleman by the end of the day, and a fifth on a considerably warmer and sunnier Sunday (making one father-son team who both earned the patch!). Several other came very close.  Under the able instruction of our IITs, the Redcoat scores soared from Sat AM to Sat PM, and there were smiles all around as the group relished their accomplishments.  Our IITs provided the history of April 19th, 1775 via the Three Strikes of the Match, to hearty rounds of applause.

On Sunday, after morning AQTs, 14 returning shooters took in a KD lecture then ventured out to the 200yd range and once again proved by doing that "this stuff really works", as folks consistently hit target centers at distance.  A great time was clearly had by all.

Rifleman:

Roger: 236 (who then proceeded to do it again using a bolt-action this time, scoring 216!)
Matt: 215
Carter: 222
Jeremy: 218 (father)
Bennett: 211 (son)
And special mention to Deidra - most improved of the group!

Special thanks to Pelham Fish and Game for being excellent hosts, and for Boy Scout Troop 610 for having delicious hot lunches available both days.

it was a pleasure working with all of you, and we hope to see you at another Appleseed Shoot soon!

Great shoot.  I only took 2 pictures.  My 13 year old son in an AQT.  He's knocking on the door of Rifleman.  His best target was 35 of 40 shots off in the time allowed, but all 35 would have scored

Thank you Luigi, MattNH, and all the rest who made this a great Appleseed experience.  The shooting instruction was excellent as always, as were the history lessons.  It was a tightly run, safe line.

I was half of the father/son team.  Now we'll have to get mom and younger brother out.
