We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

What a fantastic patriots weekend!!! We had 30 exceptional shooters ready to rock and roll. 12 new Rifleman, 2 Repeat Rifleman, a top score of 249, and many cleared redcoats!!! Well done shooters. The weather was predicted to be horrible and we ended up with scattered showers both days and somewhat cool temperatures. A shout out to Will and Jimmy for coming out as first time instructors!!!
I look forward to seeing you all on the Appleseed trail!!

What a shoot!  This one may be hard to top, but we will certainly try.

TWELVE NEW RIFLEMEN!!  Huzzah!

2 REQUALS, Huzzah!

Sam......blowing the doors off an AQT with a 249  Huzzah!  With a bolt gun no less.  Huzzah!

We said Huzzah so many times we nearly lost our voices.  Thank goodness we had the PA system.  (Thanks Kimber).

So many more shooters with scores in the 190's and low 200's.  I'd like to say it's purely our fantastic instruction, but we always teach this way.  I think the deciding factor was the TEACHABLE ATTITUDES of the shooters.  It shows what can happen when you focus on the process.

Keep the skills you learned through dry practice and by returning to another event.  Those of you "knocking on the door", persist.

For those of you that were interested in purchasing the kydex/velcro cheek risers like we used at the event, you can find them here:

I will add more pictures as I gather them.  Check for links to other photo sharing services so you don't miss them.

Quite possibly my favorite Patriots Day weekend to date. Probably even a top 5 of all time contender. Great weekend with some true Patriots.

I didn't take many photos but here's what I got: https://goo.gl/photos/LVXBPvFYqukVL1UJ9

Here's an AAR from one of our shooters: https://www.northwestfirearms.com/threads/my-22-lifestyle-on-my-appleseed-experience-the-last-2-days.242972/

See you on the line.

There were a lot of Redcoat targets cleared:

Patent Pending Edman Water-Resistant Target Backers - successful as always

You might be a Rifleman if you can take a snooze on the line with AR's booming all around.  Thomas....you are amazing.

Earl

I have to say it was great that so many serious shooters showed up to keep me thinking they were there for my help. ::) Full lines at Douglas Ridge are great to see and be a part of. Thank you Kimber Custom for the sound system, my voice wouldn't have reached well without it, now if I can just remember to put the switch to the ON position. :-[ I would like to note that so many of the shooters came to be with others at an Appleseed and the Seventh Stepping really works, keep bringing friends and family and always tell the tales about the event.  :sb:  When you really get good, volunteer to help out the RWVA and Appleseed events. I look forward to seeing you all again on the range promoting Liberty, history and the tradition. O0
... to catch the fire in another American for sharing the skills and our heritage to our posterity. Maybe my perfect shots will be made by those I met along the trials and trails of Appleseed. I know that America is a nation of Riflemen.

Unfortunately I was too busy learning how to be an effective instructor to take any pictures, but I saw some amazing skills and great attitudes from one side of to line to the other. I saw more new rifleman forged at this event than at any past event I've been part of ... HUZZAH! For those shooters that are still "knocking on the door", remember to practice getting into those firing positions, the 6 steps of firing a shot and dry practice, dry practice, dry practice! Thank you to all the shooters for dealing with the new guy, and to all my fellow instructors helping me along the path to a red hat! I look forward to seeing all of you on the line again.

I've also got two videos that I've uploaded to YouTube; they are UNLISTED so not available through public search, but are viewable through the links posted here. Let me know if anyone wants any of them taken down.
