.22LR at Ammoseek

It looks like the .22LR ammo shortage is officially over, even if you can not find it locally.

Shop bots such as Ammoseek.com have multiple listing for .22LR at under $.06/rd.   As I just looked today, they have a listing for CCI Blazer cases at $287.50, which is basically the same price as the Vista Outdoor instructor special price for the Standard Velocity.

I am now including the link to Ammoseek.com in my SB letters to the participants of my events in case their local supply is still tight.

I am not the owner of Ammoseek.com or affiliated with them in any way, I just want to share this source for those who did not know about it.

There are still a lot of people who don't realize that you can buy ammo online, unfortunately, so including that link is a good idea. For clicking convenience:

Little anecdote: I bought a 10/22 in 2013, since I figured it was time my kids moved up from pellet guns, and I'd never owned a firearm (I shot my dad's .22 and shotgun as a kid). The store owner sold me a 525 round box of ammo out of her stash reserved for customers who bought a gun ($30 or so). After we shot that up plinking at cans, I started looking for more at every local store, and the story was always the same: "haven't seen any for months, and when we do it's gone in hours."

Gunbot and Ammoseek were even more critical then, since the ordinary low price online was 14 cents per round for crappy .22 ammo (CCI was was more). I paid $70 for a brick of Armscor at a gun store near Seattle, and it was a "good" deal since I saved $15 in shipping. Anyway, I'm pretty happy to see prices keep dropping!

(obligatory disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with any those sites either, but I find them useful)

I haven't seen Blazer in a store since 2012.  One local store has Standard Velocity for $40a brick. Every where else it is still 10-12 cents a round.

Sadly so is much of the inferior ammo.

I'm in Western PA.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

I agree with this.

In southwest PA right now $40 for a brick of CCI SV is a good price.

Most places are closer to $50.
