For that matter, why does that handsome colycat feel he has to dress in a suit and tie to snow-blow? (Caution: I have not been to an AS where he has been shoot boss - he may dress in suit and tie under his shooting jacket - heck, for all I know, those are his pajamas he's wearing! ;D)

But have to tell you, when I see that snow, my heart about melts as I think "soft" - must be nice to lay down in it, all those layers of down insulation protecting you, providing a snug, comfortable shooting position - then look up, and see that "clean, clear air" where the target leaps out at you - no shimmering heat waves, no stinging sweat dripping down in your eye, no bugs - heck, I bet brass is cooled off by the time it lands on your neck! - man, where and when is the Appleseed, I gotta get there - "rifleman" is a gimmee - has to be!

Oh, if only all that snow was not to be allowed to go to waste - you know there's a time monkey here - that snow is only gonna stick around so long before it turns to mud, and you guys are gonna wanna go shoot in it. A little later, it turns to dirt, and becomes hard, and you need elbow pads - and you're gonna be Appleseeding every weekend.

    Oh! The humanity!!

-1 to Old Glory for showing us the chalice, but keeping it far enough out of reach that none of us (except Wisonsonians, and maybe a few Minnesotans) can partake...

Fred, I am shocked. No wonder Wisconsin is slackin'. There you have Colycat out on a public walk without wearing a single piece from the Appleseed Clothing Line and there isn't even a "I'm an Appleseed Volunteer" sign in the front yard! #)

No wonder nobody in Wisconsin knows about Appleseed  **)

Garand, where is that embarrassed smiley? How could I have overlooked that?  :-[  :-[

Let's just ask him - it's prob stuck on the back of his coat, so he doesn't forget it - whenever he puts on his coat, he's "ready to go", Appleseed-wise. ;D

I bet the big lighted billboard in the front yard must be off-camera to the right - you know, the one that says "I Appleseed - stop here to sign up TODAY for ths dynamic Program for Tomorrow!"

That colycat - he sure don't let any snow grow under his elbows... ;D  ;D  ;D

You know.....just a thought...................but couldn't snow blowers be used to clear firing lanes in all that white stuff? Would that work?  @@) 8)

Or is everybody @ the snowmobile races?  :-\

I figure they won't be out looking for deer in snow like this......... ^-^ Besides, season's over........ $$-0

This is however, in all honesty, one of the better dressed snow-blower-operators I have ever seen pictures of......... @)

Now there's an AS first!  Fred describes a  shooting position as comfortable :o

BTW, WI is hosting an IBC Feb 14-15; open to all, snow and all. O0  Not much time for shooting at a 2 day IBC, but if you come all the way from NM or other parts southwest, or CA, we will make sure you get to practice and demonstrate the prone position out in the soft stuff.  Colycat will even dress up and blow out a lane for you. ;)  Baraboo, WI; just look for the flashing neon AS sign in the front yard!

Laylo, you ever hear of "the holiday hunt"?  Something is ALWAYS in season in WI.  We're working on making Appleseed year round in WI.

Hey, New Mexico, when's your next shoot?
"My primary objective is to change hearts and minds, for that is where the gaping hole in the hull of the USS America lies. I am looking to make a spark and praying that it will ignite, by their own will, into a bonfire in their hearts and souls."  PHenry

"Folks, this Appleseed thing doesn't work if we get a patch and go home. It doesn't work if we shoot a Rifleman score and remember the good times we had out on the range. It only works if we take that 7th Step and spread the 'seed. HUZZAH!!!"  Slim

Ya know, I'm not persactly sure about that.
The only thing I know for sure is that it'll be before your next one. >:D

Gosh....we only have two this weekend....but that's just us...... <:)

the weather is a bit nicer here this time of year......makes me kind of wonder about all those folks who "just couldn't take it here anymore", & moved away from our land of freedom.....diminishing as they were >:(......to places where the only "banks" getting full are "snow banks"..... **)

Sorry all, just have to share some pix of one of our soon to be young IIT's.....after she goes thru some training..... @&) :~ :~
