Looks like a sold out shoot  ^:)^

Weather is looking iffy but this is the NW - It'll change 10x between now and then so I won't worry about it. That and we have a covered firing line  O0

Another weekend of History, Heritage and Marksmanship - LIBERTY!!!

What a great weekend. Weather was fantastic with only brief bouts of rain. Hardly worth putting up the DRRC (patent pending) tented target line  ^-^

Shooters improved dramatically with many new riflemen (5?) and more than a few sharpshooters  ..:.. Oh and don't forget the cleared red coats.

Jess shot our top score of the weekend a 243 with his bolt gun

More results for our efforts at NRAAM - I sat next to Matt on the airplane home and of course he got my elevator speech. Well guess who showed up and brought 2 buddies with him?  ^:)^

We put some 8" plates up at 100 and 150 after our KD presentation and then gave the shooters an option to shoot steel or an AQT. We got that steel ringing like a dinner bell  :~

Our next full event in Eagle Creek will be Oct 8/9 http://www.eventbrite.com/e/eagle-creek-or-appleseed-october-8-9-2016-tickets-18802793662

We also have a KD qualification here in a few weeks Aug 4th http://www.eventbrite.com/e/eagle-creek-or-appleseed-known-distance-qualification-august-4-2016-tickets-18801867893

Great job, Jess!! O0 243 is a great score, to do it with a bolt gun...

Matt, thanks for coming out and bringing a few buds.

Another end to a very nice weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect. I can't believe I had to bring a sweatshirt and rain coat for July!!! Either way we had a great group of shooters that were ready to learn. In the end we had 5 new rifleman many repeats and lots of cleared red coats. Huzzah, Huzzah, Huzzah!!!
In addition it was neat to see a variety of rifles. We had AR's, bolt actions, tech sights, and even one set of rugger sights.
It was a privilege to work with everyone this weekend. Thank you for coming out to learn about our country's heritage and the origin of marksmanship. As well as a thank you to my fellow instructors. I always look forward to seeing the Northwest instructor core.

Congratulation to our 4 new rifleman and our riflewomen!

I was a little worried when we reviewed the AQT scores from Saturday, but the shooter really listened and absorbed the instruction on Sunday.   The groups kept getting tighter and scores kept climbing.

All of the instructors did great on their history presentations and I heard quite a few students thanking the instructors it.

In addition to the events Kimber Custom mentioned above, there are couple more shoots scheduled for September.

We will be in Dundee on September 10/11, http://www.appleseedinfo.org/search-states-location.php?locationid=530&id_event=4549

and Riddle (next to Canyonville, OR) on Sept 17/18th.  http://www.appleseedinfo.org/search-states-location.php?locationid=530&id_event=4549
