Another fantastic Appleseed at the world famous NRA Whittington Center!
This is our last 2 day event of the season!
This was Donor Appreciation Weekend so lots of folks stopped over to check us out.

We had folks from Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

One of our students flew in from London and had just arrived the previous day!
Huzzah!

Our firing line consisted of mostly couples and a family of 4.
Also a father and daughter and a few hearty individuals as well!
All persisted over the long two days! Huzzah!

A hearty thanks to the staff at the NRA Whittington Center for hosting this event at the Coors Range.
We had a last minute scheduling snafu but the transition was seamless.
Thanks to the awesome WC staff for getting er' done for us!

We were honored to work with IIT1, soon to be promoted to IIT3, David (aka pballer2oo7 on the forum).
What a bang up job you did sir!  Project Appleseed and Lady Liberty is proud of you! Thanks for stepping up!

The morning starts with the usual sunrise in the Land of Enchantment, on 33,000 acres, originally owned by the Kaiser Steel Co.
The historic town of Van Houten mined coal here until the early 50's. The miners paid for goods at the general store in script.

Prone, look at that line!

Shooters! Center up!

Sling demo with Gillian(BlueFeather) and David (pballer2oo7).

Red coat course of fire with some history intertwined. Do you know the story of April 19th, 1775?
Or the famous Bradford Brothers quote? Who was Timothy Murphy and what was his contribution to the Revolutionary War?

Red Coat targets on the most beautiful firing line in the US!

...more to come.

Inches, Minutes and Clicks.
Do you know how to adjust your sights in a predictable way to sight in your rifle?

  • 82 career Appleseed shoots to date!
We had a great group of students!  Father/Daughter, two Husband/Wife, and a family of 4. We also had an Englishman, who flew in from London the day before.  Unfortunately we think the altitude and exertion got to Neil and he had to bow out of Sunday, but his friend Jason, scored Rifleman!  Lots of gear issues, but everyone persisted.

It was a pleasure to have IIT David visit all the way from Oklahoma!  David's preparation and ease far outweighed his official rank, and we were happy to help promote him up to IIT3!

This was a great event with an awesome group of persistent, dedicated shooters. The range and weather was beautiful. I intend to be back in New Mexico soon. Thanks, everybody, for making this a terrific weekend.
