We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Fifteen dedicated students persevered through drenching rain Saturday morning and were rewarded with crushing heat and humidity after lunch for the rest of the weekend. Nonetheless, much fun was had by all and a huge amount of learning was accomplished, evidenced by steady, dramatic improvements in shooting form, group sizes, and scores over the two days.  The end-of-day Redcoat proved this with four 300s, three 400s, seven Shingles and one clean target. Our five young students were thoughtful and determined and made great progress.

On the first AQT Saturday we had two qualified Riflemen: Don with a 219 and Steve with a 210. Our extended dry-fire practice Sunday morning paid off with an outstanding first Redcoat of the day - of 14 shooters, four hit the shingle and 2 cleaned the target. Sunday saw another new rifleman: Shane with a 211. Also, Don increased his PR score to 227. Now it's time for you all to chase the magic 250.

I especially want to thank the students who demonstrated their clear understanding of the Safety Briefing throughout. We had zero safety errors on the line. I hope you will each bring a bunch of your friends to your next Appleseed.

It was an honor to present Blue Hats to the first Virginia Applecorps members: Bob S and Jordan E. Welcome to the volunteer corps, and thank you for stepping up.

All of the students and instructors at the Charlottesville event deserve a extra round of Huzzah's! The fine Virginia Summer weather made it a good test of endurance!

I was proud to accept the Blue hat - I'll be happy to help where I can, when I can.

Keep up the good work,
Bob S.

This was a great shoot.  Thanks for all the planning you did Bob!

The Monkey clan had an awesome time!

Definitely a full-power lineup on the instructor staff this go-round as well!

Working with Jordan, it's clear to me that PleasedtoAim has the heart and patience of a teacher - thanks for helping her out!

Looking forward to coming back in October (in Minion Mode  ;) )

"Responsibility is a unique concept... You may share it with others, but your portion is not diminished. You may delegate it, but it is still with you... If responsibility is rightfully yours, no evasion, or ignorance or passing the blame can shift the burden to someone else. Unless you can point your finger at the man who is responsible when something goes wrong, then you have never had anyone really responsible."
