I am going to shoot a .22 conversion unit in my AR this weekend. My stock does not have a sling swivel mount. I want avoid running around to get swing swivels points and extra epoxy, drilling a hole, and attaching the sling point before Saturday's class.

I'm told the sling is frequently removed from the rifle for adjustment Would this sling set-up work OK? My Cavalry Arms stock has a sling slot in it I put through 12" length of webbing with a buckle. I can unlock the buckle to remove and adjust the sling.

The metal "J-hook" attaches to the rear of the rifle.  A few loops of paracord through the slot in your stock should be sufficient to allow the J-hook to hold on.

Okay. I had the J-Hook on the front sling loop.

You could just use the loop sling for all your positions....that is what I do...you therefore would not need to reconnect to the stock swivel...just a thought...good shooting on this weekend
