And at cmp western games turner dominated.
Nra I believe you. But nra really different then cmp.
CMP Games is the bush league.  CMP Excellence in Competition and NRA Highpower (service rifle) are just as competitive and people typically use the best gear they can afford.  Buy right and cry once, and all that.

Somebody might have already posted this, but  I didn't see it.
The length of sling is measured by the length of the top strap.

I assume that you mean that despite the very high quality of Turner slings,  that the other makers are better. And it is worth your while to talk to them,  put in your order, and wait a few months for a more beautiful sling.
I ordered a Ron Brown M1907 from Creedmoor Sports on Sunday night.  I paid for 2 day Fedex because it was only $2 more than ground freight.  It shipped on Tuesday and I got it today.  Oh I paid $67.99 (not including shipping) for it.

Not sure where you guys get this "hundreds of dollars/months of wait" for a top shelf M1907 sling.......Certainly not from reality I can assure you.

This thing is noticeably beefier than anything Turner makes (yes I have seen and played with plenty of them in almost 15 yrs of highpower).  The keepers are super strong.  If it stretches it is not noticeable.  Genuine Herman Oak leather.

I took it out of the bag, rubbed in a thin coat of my favorite leather treatment (Effax Lederbalsam), let it sit for 30 min then rigged it on the rifle.  Did some snapping in to fine tune which holes to use for prone and sitting, and the sling is now perfectly supple and broken-in, ready to go.  Another thing I noticed is that keeping the sling conditioned makes the glove stick to it acting almost like a hand stop.

While the M1 sling has many advantages, and I have used them for years, there are two things I do not like about them.  First off, they stretch, and stretch more than a quality leather sling as time goes on.  Second, the arm loop tightens ever more the more tension you put on the sling.  This also has the effect of lengthening the sling over a string of fire to the point that at 600 yds I need to stop about halfway through the string and take up some slack.

I've got Brown, Turner, and Weller slings.

I wouldn't sell my Weller match rifle sling for $500. Because it can never be replaced. He told me at Perry 2 years ago, to take care of it. He could not get the leather that he used for them anymore at that time.

I also have one of a small run of Water Buffalo leather Service Rifle slings that he made. It is long and tough. It grips well and doesn't stretch much.

Ron Brown makes great slings. I have a 56" NM model from him. It's a good one and I use it regularly.

I have several Turners, one is a 56" inch leather, and 2 are AWS slings rigged as Owen's No Pulse. One of those has an longer short strap that I special ordered from Turner to make it fit better. The leather Turner is a completely serviceable sling, but it is not a match for the JHW'S or the Brown's or Tam's. On the other hand, if you like a "No Pulse" type sling rigged as a cuff for your shooting coat. The AWS Turners are really good.

Finally, slings are a commodity that wear out with use. You may need to replace them. The AWS and custom makes seem to last longer to me. But I can run a Turner for 2 years of 26 matches and 100 practices per year. Finally, in my opinion, Brown slings are the absolute best bargain out there right now.

All of that said, Grant Singley won multiple National, Army and Interservice titles with web slings.
