I cannot wait until next years Appleseed!!  Although I was disappointed (in myself) for not walking away with my Rifleman's patch, I am very determined to practice, practice, practice...after I'm less sore, of course!  ;)  Erik hit on everything I wanted to say to  each and every one of you.  I cannot sing your praises enough.  Big Papa, what you did for me...wow.  I've never had anyone in my life (other than Erik) be as patient with me as you were.  I hope to see you again next year, and it would be my *honor* to wear that orange hat.  To The Guy...thank you, thank you, thank you, for showing me trigger reset.  Hallelujah!!!  Almost better than you-know-what...almost!  I really hope to see you there next year, too.  I have a lot more to learn-not only about shooting, but about the history, too.  You can be the best teacher in the world, but if you aren't passionate about what you are teaching, then it might as well be all for naught.  Thanks to all of you, again.  Being bruised and sunburned never felt so good...  Peace out..."Draggin' Wood" Anderson   ;)

Well, once the DAR gets the dozer treatment, we could do 1-4 a month.

GoGoDozer!

JB, told you ya shoulda come up.  Maybe you flew over and felt the spirit.  Oh well, there is always next year.  Hmmm.... the Cubbies have been waiting on next year for 100 years now.  So don't live a life of Cubbie futility, get to an RBC SOON!

Redleg,
You were missed. Keep up with us, as we will be sceduling several more shoots in the coming months. You don't have to wait another year. Prob early spring.

Longshot

Thanks, I certainly missed being there.  I drove by a couple miles south of ya'll but it was dark and I had fussy kids who wanted to get on home.

Early spring you say?  Same place or somewhere else?

What other places in Missouri have been considered for holding an event?

Nice pics, Erik.  Thanks.

Those are some seriously FANTASTIC pics!

Thanks for sharing.............and please keep doing so.

If you're shooting as well with your camera as your rifle..........I want to be on your team!   ;)

If YOU are thinking, WE are winning.

LC,

We are attempting to organize shoots on both the KC and STL sides of the state, as well as down by Springfield.  Chris (the state coordinator) is trying to put together at least 4 shoots next year.

If you know of a range that might be willing to host an Appleseed, by all means LET US KNOW!  Finding a range is the primary obstacle to our having more Appleseeds in MO.

I finally got logged in so...

Thanks to all for the hospitality and instruction.  It was a week I will never forget, and one of the best in my life.  Going off of the ibuprofen was surely a wake up call on Monday.  I look forward to the next shoot and trying to earn a rifleman score on a rifle other than the town bicycle (BigPapa's 10/22)!

I typically shoot at any of the 3 Dept of Conservation ranges around St. Louis (cheap and very local).  There is a very nice private range in Wright City, Benchrest Rifle Club.  I attend some IDPA matches out there, but I'm not a member.  It's a little pricey for my budget.  Their website is http://www.shootingstl.com

There is also a private range south of St. Louis, Arnold Rifle & Pistol Club.  I've never shot there, so I don't know much about it.  Their website is http://www.arnoldgunclub.org/index.html

Eric,

Finally got to check out the pics.

Frikin AWESOME!

Jesh, you must be a pro or something.....LOL!!

Maybe you need to pack a rifle and camera to all Appleseeds.

Fred

Guys (all of you), try to remember that this program is growing so fast that by next year this time, we should be having Appleseeds all over MO (and neighboring states).

You'll be able to face the difficult choice of "which one should I go to this month?"

So let's channel your energy into making that happen!

Because that is the way it will happen.

Review the first board on this site, specifically http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=1651.0 - but you should be browsing that entire set of boards pretty heavily, just so you can speed up the process in MO (and surrounding states).

Once you're on this site for awhile, you'll start to understand: it's not the number of posts, or the number of words, it's the actual concrete steps you take to "make it (Appleseed) happen" in your state.
\
     Now, let's get to it.

     It's a great way to "Appleseed" 24/7...
"Ready to eat dirt and sweat bore solvent?" - Ask me how to become an RWVA volunteer!

"...but he that stands it now, deserves the thanks of man and woman alike..."   Paine

"If you can read this without a silly British accent, thank a Revolutionary War veteran" - Anon.

"We have it in our power to begin the world over again" - Thomas Paine

What about it, do-nothings? You heard the man, jump on in...

PJEVANS

Great pictures, Erik.

I'm guessing you've shot some before....

I just love seeing a line of Ruger's....
