We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

It rained.  It blew.  They came. They shot.  They heard the story.  33 shooters braved the wet conditions and persevered.  Our instructor corps included dogloverchow, JL, misawa, PleasedtoAim, JohnH, BD, FiremanBob. Fireman1974, and DangerousCook.  It rained.  Did I mention it rained?  We only managed one Rifleman for all the effort but I blame not the shooters nor the instruction but the wind.  It is hard to hit a 4MOA target with a 10MOA movement.  The wind was fierce and the target line was blowing up, down left and right.  That is when it was not blowing the cardboard off the line entirely.  Did I mention rain? Yeah, it rained!

Had an earache for three days after this.

Would do it again in a heartbeat.  :)

With apologies to "the Battle Hymn of the Republic":

Mine eyes have seen the wetness of the coming of the rain
That we're out here shooting rifles means we must be quite insane
Appleseed is saying, "Hey, you know, if there's no pain, no gain."
So, we must keep shooting on

Shooters cadence, six steps
If we miss, we made a mess
So, we will shoot some more
Then go home and clean our bore
'Cause we must keep shooting on

Yeah, it was wet.
Yeah, the targets were blowing around.
Yeah, I didn't qualify.
Yeah, I had a great time.

I plan to see you in Montpelier.
