We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Another D.O.M.

This was our first event at the Black Lake Fish & Game Association, and it was a huge success!

This Appleseed was a private event that was organized by a prior Appleseed student (from a New Bremen, NY event) so that families from their 4-H group could experience Project Appleseed.  It was set up as a one-day, Monday Appleseed.

The cold and rainy weather of Sunday was replaced by sunshine and a slight chilly breeze.  In all we had 11 shooters and several observers.  The marksmanship skills improved rapidly throughout the day, everyone was completely caught up in the telling of the Three Strikes, and the group is already talking about another event, perhaps an indoor event during the winter months.

Thank you very much to the host club for the generous donation of their range for this event.  Club members who observed throughout the day were thoroughly impressed, and even before this event they spoke with me about hosting a public event at their range once or twice a year.

Also thank you to Jon & Keith for taking off a Monday to help with instruction at this event.  And of course, I could not have completed this event (or this weekend) without the help, support  and dedication of Krisker.

There are photos that will be posted soon.

This was A GREAT Event!

Thank You to The Black Lake Fish and Game Club, for hosting this event! This is a very nice range.

Thank You to Another D.O.M. and keith 1, for running a Great Event

Three seperate Families took time from very busy Spring schedules, to participate at this Appleseed. O0 Thank You!

After a very hard Winter and many days of rain, shooters remained positive as they got into positions on very soggy ground(3-4") of standing was not uncommon around the firing line. Groups consistantly got smaller, as the day progresssed and some effective sight adjustments(complements of IMC) were done on the fly.

Time constraints made this a very challenging event, but the job got done! The Three Strikes, and Marksmanship instruction were presented quickly and effectively. and our students remained focused, and eager to learn!

Although this was a short Event, I think it was a Huge Success! O0
