What do I need to attach a GI sling hook to Magpul MOE stock?

Can anyone recommend some sort of mount to attach a sling loop on these stocks? Anything that would let me put a sling loop on the bottom of the stock? I'm guessing some zip ties would work but I'd prefer something designed for the purpose.
Now who can argue with that?

Something I've been pondering myself - I've never seen anything designed for the job.  They have the holes for the 'button type' QD swivels don't they?  You could go that route, but it'll be on the side.  In a pinch, I have seen someone simply stretch their clip to fit in the slot.

There are several ways, depending on your ingenuity, ambition, and budget.

My favorite is this, with a QD swivel. But it's not the cheapest. http://www.laruetactical.com/mount-n-slot-qd-sling-direct-attach-mount

Cheaper is to get one of these-

and one of these-

and a short length of webbing and lace them through one of the sling slots on the stock.

I use the QD, but I also have slipped the clip through the slot. Both ways work

Standard machine screw type sling swivel.

There are two bosses on the bottom of the stock that can be drilled through to bolt on a piece of rail, if that's your thing...  I just drilled through the front one for the swivel and threaded on the nut inside the stock.  Works great.

Here is another solution: http://www.blueforcegear.com/universal-wire-loop-uwl-3-25.html

Better and cheaper in my opinion is simply using a machine screw sling swivel stud. You may have to open up the recess a little at the bottom of the stock in order to accommodate the nut. Use lock-tite to keep it from working loose.
The American Constitution is remarkable for its simplicity; but can only suffice a people habitually correct in their actions, and would be utterly inadequate to the wants of a different nation.  Change the domestic habits of the Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not be necessary to change a single letter in the Constitution in order to vary the whole form of their government. - Francis Grund 1837

I'll probably go with that. Thanks very much for the info.
Now who can argue with that?

Could even probably find a square nut of the right thread and dimension to fit right in the slot - though that might increase the potential for coming undone.

You know you're talking to riflemen when you post a question with no common solution - and you get 10+ options to choose from.

I like that one. Nicely done.

Side mounted is not a problem. I have my carbine setup that way with the sling on the left side of the butt and normal swivel in the front. I also find that it allows one to extend the web sling and use it as a two point carry sling with the muzzle down.
