I know this sounds lame, but my dog actually ate my orange hat. :slap: There is a certain shoot boss who didn't believe my story, so here is proof.  Anyone willing to help me get a new hat, please let me know.  I am but a lowly high school student willing to part with some babysitting money if necessary.

I think your dog is trying to encourage you to get your Redhat!  Good dog!

Cheers,

Sadman

If Thaifighter or Armaborealis won't give you a new one, I'll mail you one from Alaska.  No charge.  But you WILL work one shoot per month and always bring one or two new shooters with you.

"Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had governed ourselves and we always meant to. They didn't mean we should."
(Captain Levi Preston, of the Danvers militia, at age 91, remembering the day)

That it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity, by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve those civil and religious rights and liberties, for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations.  Suffolk Resolves, September 9, 1774, attributed to Dr. Joseph Warren

My dad says I should continue wearing it as a reminder that it is only a temporary step into becoming a full instructor!  ~~:)

Your father is a smart man!

I will have one for you at the Ladyseed.

I think that hat has character.

Wear it.

When anyone asks what happened, tell them "I forgot one of the four safety rules, and the shoot boss reminded me".

Tell your dog if he wants an orange hat, he'll have to earn it!

"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."  Abraham Lincoln

There is a case of Tannerite at home just waiting for the day I get to put on a red hat and take off the orange one. I'm thinking about 400 yds on a coffee can filled full.
