It was a good weekend weather wise and also shooting wise.

We had 4 students on both Sat & Sun - Blake, Rob, David, & Mark.

Saturday started off with a pretty bad showing on the redcoats:

100 - 3
200 - 0
300 - 0
400 - 0
HS - 1

Sunday was much better:

100 - 4
200 - 3
300 - 2
400 -2
HS - 4 (yup all 4 of them got it)

The shooters were a good crowd and very attentive. We got 2 riflemen out of 4 (David & Mark) and had another knocking at the door with 180s - Blake. He was having lots of rifle problems which may well have contributed to his not breaking 210.

Rob - who hadn't used rifles much at all - started Saturday shooting groups that looked like a shotgun pattern. By Sunday he was doing respectable groups and I believe his high score was about 150 or 160.

Mark had just moved to Texas from Cali about 5 months ago - said the taxes were eating him alive. His friend, David, had moved from Cali to Texas several years ago. They were old school buddies from way back and came to the event together.

Rob & Blake were Austin area folks who came to the event together also - and were also long time friends.
