And every other single day!!!

After a nice weekend with my nephew at the Palm Bay AS, I took my niece to the range for the first time today...

I was concerned because she has a history of not handling well loud noises and never showed interest in shooting but after I came back home with my nephew from the Appleseed event, I asked her if she would like to learn how to shoot... To my surprise she say yes!

My goal today was to teach her to handle the rifle safely and to have fun... I wasn't too concerned about shoot placement as long as she hit the berm....

She indeed had fun and was very safe and methodical... And she hit the berm.... Through the bullseye!

I see a patch in her future... Perhaps next summer...

That's great shooting, Ivan!  She is well on her way to a patch!

Your nephew shot well last weekend, too!  His cadence was good, too!  (I know, as I was in the splash zone for his brass!).   :)

Karma?  ;D

What I enjoyed the most was her smile every time she shouldered the rifle... That was priceless!

Excellent!  We need more riflewomen.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
