THis weekend, on September 7th and 8th, America, Liberty, and Marksmanship were on the minds and in the hearts of 18 shooters from the several states around Palmerton, PA. There were many new and first time shooters who started with larger groups but by days end all could hit with greater accuracy from all positions (See Rachel's Target on the 200). We had some very skilled friends come to join us who you can see on the right side of the line [on day one photos] - unfortunately, they could only stay one day and we hope to see them again in the near future. There were two families in attendance, with young shooters who, from time to time, would take a short break from all this work to play on the grass behind the tents; once refreshed they would again return to learn marksmanship and history. The young shooters were attentive, motivated, and followed the safety rules. Kevin and Melissa scored Rifleman on repeat courses, and both cleared their redcoats for the first time (Congratulations). We ended the weekend tired but happy, and, as for my circle, we stopped on the way home for ice cream [Always a subpoint of Appleseed shoots]
