What a fun weekend. We had a SOLD OUT venue. Thank you to McMiller Sports Center for the use of their range, and to all of you who made a decision to come out and learn about the history and marksmanship that is part of our unique American Heritage. We must also acknowledge Jim Blair of Jim Blair Hardware, for his very generous donation of 5,000 rounds of .22 ammo. Much appreciated Jim, with out you, we may not have made it. Thanks also to our instructors triggernick, Janir, Beck (Gunner), Endpoint, and ABinz. You guys are the best, but you already knew that.

There were 21 shooters on the line and it was crowded, but that didn't discourage anyone. On Saturday the heat and humidity were tremendous. Nonetheless, our shooters perservered and their marksmanship improved greatly. Great attitudes translated into much improved shooting, and 1 new rifleman. Everyone did very well! Congratulations to Chris our newest rifleman (215).

Sunday started out to be a repeat of Saturdays heat and humidity. Nonetheless, the shooters showed up and continued to improve. By Sunday afternoon we were granted a reprieve from the heat. The clouds rolled in, the temperatures cooled, then the sky opened up and we were treated to a torrential downpour and an extended hail storm featuring gumball size hail. Through it all, our shooters remained upbeat and we all had a great weekend despite the challenges. It humbles me to have been part of it, with such a great group of shooters and instructors. I am truly blessed. Josie, John, and Jacob - You made me very proud!

The journey to becoming a rifleman has begun, I hope to see you on your path soon!!

Excellent shoot!  Very attentive group.  I expect quite a few will score Rifleman with another shoot or two.  The only down note was the untimely death of hundreds of bees by flooding  :(  Mental note, pack rain coat and waders to future shoots.

Had a great time at my first Appleseed! Hot on Saturday, Wet on Sunday. The rain kept me 10 Shots away from getting my rifleman :wb: Well OK it wasn't just the rain. A few modifications to the 'ol Ruger and myself and I believe the next time it will be in the bag!  Thanks to the Volunteers for a GREAT job.  Doc let me know when you want me to start that iPAD app.
