The Eastern and Oklahoma CMP Regional matches will include a small arms firing school and special M16 EIC match. This is a first as the SAFS and M16 Match have previously only been held during the National Matches at Camp Perry.

If you are interested in seeing how a Service Rifle Match runs as well as getting some good instruction on shooting the Service Rifle this is a good opportunity. Cost is $50 for adults and $40 for Juniors and the fee includes ammunition and rifle use.  The course of fire is 10 rounds standing, single load in 10 minutes, 10 rounds sitting (2 and 8) in 60 seonds, 10 rounds rapid prone (2 and 8) in 70 seconds, and 10 rounds slow fire prone in 10 minutes. All firing is at 200 yards on the SR target.

The top 10% of competitors without any EIC points can earn a special 4 point  leg. These are fun matches and I highly recommend them.

"There's a great deal of talk about loyalty from the bottom to the top. Loyalty from the top down is even more necessary and is much less prevalent. One of the most frequently noted characteristics of great men who have remained great is loyalty to their subordinates."
