Hello all,

Given the ammo shortage I have decided to get a high power airgun.  I'm getting a .22 for a little more oomph than .177 but more available pellets than .25.

I looking at Airforce as they are made in the U. S. A.

I know I can get a Benjamin Nitro for about 1/4-1/2 the money but I'm tired of made in China on everything.

Any direct knowledge of the differences between them?   Is it worth the extra $100?

Any others worth looking at that are made in the USA or Europe in the under $655 range?  There ia a refurbished one on Pyrmidair that I'm considering if I can order it before it sells out.

Pyrmidair has pellets in bulk as well.

P.S.  I already have 4 Daisy 885 from CMP.

Thank you,

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

It depends on what you want and want it for.

For $600 you can get a Crossman Mar 177upper for an AR. It is accurate and can make a good training rifle for precision AR's. Good sights available from Creedmoor Sports, Pilkington (pilkguns), Champion's Choice, and Champion Shooter Supply.

For $500-665, you can get a used FWB 301 or 600 series target rifle from http://www.airguns.net/classifieds/classifieds.php?adsort=forsale

If you are looking for a hunting rifle, .22 or. 25 would be good as would a 9mm, I think that there are Korean, European and Chinese sources for those.

I have a Chinese Break barrel .22, the MAR177, a Daisy 883, and an FWB 301. Without a doubt the highest quality and most accurate of these is the FWB.
