My recipe = fundamentals,,,,,,Fundamentals,,,,,,,,,,,,,,FUNDAMENTALS.
Three Appleseeds with a 10-22 with Tech Sights = topped out in the high 190's.  That bottom row ALWAYS turned into fuzzies and squigglies, just could NOT see them.
Borrowed a entry level 8x scope, having never had a scope I mounted it way too far away from my eye, could only get a small lit circle in the scope, BUT went on to shoot a 224 for Rifleman.  This with mono vision (contact in dominant eye for close vision)
Then on a trip to MO to shoot in an Appleseed my son was hosting my contact tore, and of course I had no spare.
Now for the FUNDAMENTals.  I had by now put a better quality scope on my 10-22, mounted with proper eye relief.  I was working the shoot as an IIT 3 and got to shoot on Sunday --- LEFT HANDED--- for the first time in my life.  The fundamentals gave me a 194 on the first AQT and a 217 on my second!
Now that I've had both eyes done for cataracts (almost 70 yrs) my goal is to shoot Rifleman with irons.
NPOA is an AMAZING THING.  My best AQT with my good scope is 238, cleaning the bottom line

I had a terrible time seeing the bottom row clearly at an Appleseed, so I went to the optometrist. He diagnosed moderate astigmatism in both eyes. Essentially I was seeing two targets in each eye, with no way to tell which was the real one. Corrective lenses (Revision Military has great prices) solved the problem immediately.

Ok, scopes coming off and tech sights are going on.    O0.  At my age I never under stood why I put one on in the first place.
