Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots

We were disappointed when some of our preregistered shooters didn't come out on a drizzly Saturday for Project Appleseed at Slippery Rock Sportsman's Club.  Bruce, who did show up, reached a new high score of 207.  He also matched his previous high of 196 twice during the weekend.  Next time you will be taking a patch home, Bruce!  Also, way to 7th-step!  Tell Dave he is invited back for the whole weekend, next time.

We had a great student/instructor ratio so all of the instructors who attended got in some trigger time as well.

We ended up with more walk-ons than no-shows, so "it's all good".  And I did find out what happened to the no-shows.  At the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club meeting tonight someone told me that some people had showed up over the weekend looking for the Appleseed shoot.  Oooops!!!  Guys, the Beaver Falls shoot is NEXT weekend.  See you then!

Below, we have Invictus Maneo making his debut as Line Boss, and Colleen sharing "Mother Bathrick".  Yes, that is Stand masquerading as an orange hat.

Demotion for leaving my hat in the bedroom. DOH!

It was a nice weekend, even with the drizzle Saturday.  I will push promotions hard this month to try to get SRSC back to the attendance numbers of last year for the last two shoots of the year.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
