Prone to Knit

On Saturday we had near perfect weather as we tried out the new berm built for youth shooters and Appleseed at Ben Lomond Gun Club.  We had a nice elevated deck to shoot from which kept the shooters in the shade most of the day.

We had 14 shooters each day with our youngest being 5. Bella stuck in there all day, both days. Good job, young lady!

A couple of our blue hats came even closer to getting their rifleman patches. Our newest blue hat, 4 MOA or Bust, worked his first shoot and told a story.

Pocketknife, 11, again told a story and called the line for a short while, as well as checking rifles with 4 MOA or Bust.

JustJax took photos to put in the article she's writing for a woman's magazine about Appleseed.

oneshot_onehole, Colorado Boots, COJeepGirl, JustJax and Papa_Smith completed the history.

On Sunday we arrived to find SavageShootr sitting there, a new transplant to Colorado. She spent the day shooting.

Some of the ladies went over to the long distance range for awhile on Sunday. We had a couple competitive rounds of shooting cookies, spilling their calories out onto the ground. The winners got candybars.

Marksmanship - heritage - chocolate.  What could be better than that?

It will be a pleasure to see these ladies again on the lines with their families.
