Please join me in congratulating Caliper, Michigan's newest Red Hat!  He successfully completed his PCI, and was presented with the Red Hat from Miki at our Fenton event this weekend.

That makes FOUR consecutive events where a Red Hat was handed out.  The Michigan cadre now has 13 Red Hats!

Time does not alter the nature and quality of either." ~ Thomas Paine

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

Gezzz....you guys are FAST! Tell you what, I planted Caliper firmly under the bus and you know what? That man LOVES the smell of diesel. I ran him ragged Saturday and he knocked it out of the park, never missed a beat.

Well done Caliper!

PS. You look MUCH better in red than you did in orange.  ;D

Congrats Derek!  After seeing you work the last couple events I had no doubt that a Red Hat would soon be perched atop your learned dome.

It was my pleasure to wander the line aimlesly looking for something to do while Caliper did an outstanding job passing his PCI!

Way to go, a job well done and an Instructor hat well deserved. Glad I could be there to witness.

Congrats and thanks to you and the rest of the instructors for making this weekend so much fun. Zach is still outside talking to his friends about the event, the patch he earned, shooting your hat, everyone pouring water for 210 and all the stories. I believe that eventually he will look back on this weekend as a transformative event in his life. Driving home he was telling "I could shoot that road sign from here" and wondering how many kids he could get to come out to an event (maybe "Appleseedling?").

Can't we all just agree to disagree in a civil fashion while the planet's last, fading hope of liberty and prosperity gets snuffed out?

No. We can't.
