Not too early to start planning.

Since the blackflies out there like the taste of Dwarf, I won't be there. :shootself: However, I thought I'd start the thread for those of you who aren't on the menu.
Unhappy it is ... to reflect that a brother's sword has been sheathed in a brother's breast, and that the once happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?

Great!

I don't know if we can make it - probably.  A couple things I think we missed from last weekend -

A. Advertising flyers. Can I get some mailed to me? (I'll PM you Dwarven, since we need to pay you for the loaner ammo anyhow)

B. Getting student packets handed out first thing. I don't mind setting them up ahead of time if I can get the materials.

C. Once the AQT grind gets going, one or two of us should probably be a designated scorer. I heard some of the students having problems getting their targets looked at promptly, and having to look for an instructor to get their scores.

D. Do we have any posters for demoing things like proper sight alignment, sight picture? That was a concern on the basics range with the folks who'd never fired at all before.

E. Do we have more colonial era flags for atmosphere? I don't mind ordering some nylon copies of the Betsy Ross, Pine Tree, etc. for a local shoot box.

a - Yes. Since I work in Waltham, we can even meet up some time to save on postage, I'd bet.
b - Leyden's SB will probably be Goodpiper since it's home range. PM him to see about getting together to put them together. Or I've got plenty of spare materials for shoots so I can give you some so you can do them well in advance.
c - EXCELLENT idea. We don't always have enough Instructors to spare, but this is a spot where a Blue Hat (AppleCore volunteer) would be handy. Ulysses had talked about getting a Blue Hat, so he might be willing to help here.
d - There are some out there. I'll look at what I have to see about getting posters made of them.
e - Yes. Matt thought he had some, so he didn't order a new set. the Shoot Boss can order a set whenever he needs them. One thing that might be nice would be to run up a set of flagpoles so that we're not constantly stapling them to the shelters (in Harvard & Mansfield) or so that (in Leyden), we have someplace to hang them at all, since Leyden has no structures at all.

Lima Tango

I can't make Leyden due to a work conflict. If anything changes I will jump on board. I will check my local army/navy store for some revolutionary era flags, I think they have a couple.

Don't bother, LT. We can order them with the shoot boxes.

I'm afraid I WILL NOT be present. Do you have enough confirmed instructors?

Eric should be OK - he's got two other Instructors and three IITs.
