So my 9 year ld has done a lot of shooting with me, and when I came to the appleseed event I didnt want to shoot as my son is only 9 ad I wanted to make sure that he got his mags loaded in time for each evolution, he was safe, and he was listening to the instruction.  My kid had a great time, shot pretty decent, but came away with a better knowledge of the revolutionary wra then he would ever have or will have gotten at school.  My take away from this was not the shooting, it was when the first speaker "Toy" (I think that is his name...also known as cardiac something...btw...my wife actually has a great uncle named TOY....didnt expect to hear that name again) was explaining why the colonials were upset about the treatment that they were receiving from the British.  Stamp Act, Tea Act, and Toy mentioned taking away guns.  Not sure how much my son was listening, and he was confused about some things as a 9 yr is likely to be, but what he got out of it was the similarities between the present day government and the british.  But I wont forget this ever, he looked at me and said, "So the british are pretty much like our government now, trying to take our guns away."  He was confused about colonials vs militia vs british...He thought it was 3 groups fighting each other.  lol

But I just wanted to say thanks for the great instruction, great fellowship and a great time for a Dad to spend with his son.
