I use a RCBS Pro2000 press which requires small and large caliber bushings in the powder measure. While preparing to load up a mess of 22 Hornet I discovered that my 22-270 bushing had vanished. Probably got swept up by the shop vac. The lack of this pretty much shut down the majority of my reloading. Not finding a listing for it at the online parts book, I email RCBS customer service asking for price and availability info.
I just received an email informing me that RCBS is sending one free of charge.

Hi Mr Happy,

A big thumbs up to RCBS.  What rifle(s) do you have in 22 Hornet?  My brother is looking for one and I know you have great taste in gun metal.

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

I have 3 Hornets; a ZiDi/Diem which was made in the '30s in Germany, a CZ 527 American and a Cooper Arms Varminter.
There were only 3000 ZiDis made so it's not a real option. The Cooper rifles have become dizzy expensive (but oh so fine) so a very good option is CZ 527s for around $700. Savage also makes the Model 25 in Hornet from $550-750. Ruger offers 3 models of the 77/22 in Hornet from $800-900. Next jump in price would be Anschutz $900-2000 and finally Cooper Arms starting at $1600.
Near every one produced a Hornet at one time or another so you'll find all manner of rifles out there but Hornets don't seem to show up often. It's hard not to love them.
My list,  low price to high- Savage 25 walking Varminter for $550, then the CZ 527 American or the 527 FS  (mannlicher stock, very nice!) for $750 and finally
A Cooper at $1600. Savage and CZ will be equally accurate, certainly 1 MOA possibly 3/4 MOA. CZ is prettier than the Savage. However if you have the money Coopers are something else. 5 rds at 100yds into one .22 caliber hole.

Having taken a look I have to say that not everyone made Hornets. Remington may have chambered their rolling blocks for the Hornet but I'm not finding any listing for it in any of their more modern rifles.
The Germans really liked this cartridge and it was known as the 5.56x35 Veirling.

If you enjoy a good gun hunt one of the more affordable, used, Hornet rifles would be the Savage 340 rifles. These were sold under the Savage, Sears, Western Auto, and Stevens brand names. These would be $200-400 depending on condition
