Sunday November 27th, 2011 dawned clear and although it clouded up a bit by afternoon, the weather was balmy and warm - low to mid 60's - great weather for the first shoot at Sippican Rod & Gun Club in Rochester, MA. 11 shooters came out for a day shortened by the end of Daylight Saving Time. Some of the club members had been asking for a shoot closer to home, for them, down near Cape Cod, so we were able to oblige.

No Riflemen were made but some great progress was shown by all shooters - it was possible to watch the group sizes shrinking with each target.

There were 8 10/22s of varying configurations, an AR with a .22 upper, a CZ bolt gun, and a 1903 Springfield being shot - LEFT HANDED - by shooter Tim.

Instructor Round Trip re-routed himself down to Sippican at the last moment as we thought we might have to move to two ranges. IITs Lakevillian and Davidgw1 did a great job of RSOing. A good crew!

A few pictures during the day...

Dale, get that right elbow up.

Like Brian is.

And like SKS_Ray, here. (first time I've ever seen him shoot an American rifle was today!)

Dale, I said get that elbow up! (He did, eventually!)

Unhappy it is ... to reflect that a brother's sword has been sheathed in a brother's breast, and that the once happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?
