Another grand Appleseed at the Madison County Sportsmen's Club.  (yes that  Madison County, range 1/2 mile north from "Cedar Bridge")
Saturday  started comfortably cool and cloudy with 13 attendees, an almost equal mix of first timers and "old hands".   A very nice family  feel to the event with three father/son teams and one husband/wife team.
After Safety briefing and introductions, started the morning with RedCoat, followed with Squares and standard instruction in Steady hold factors, sling use, Six steps, and introduction to NPOA.  Line consisted mostly of 10/22's with two AR's thrown in for spice. Lunch break and history in the air-conditioned club house was welcome by all.   After lunch more instruction and drill culminating in two AQT's and a final Redcoat showing marked improvement. More history from Dave and a benediction finished the day.

Sunday brought another gorgeous morning, still comfortable with variable cloudiness.  One father/son team and husband/wife team unable to return but one new attendee and a new father/son team added to the line for a total of eleven.  Safety briefing  followed by RedCoat, squares and review.  Mechanical problem with newly arrived AK precluded its use but a loaner  10/22 was quickly located.  Kyle, Dave, and Bryce applied special attention to the three new attendees to bring them "up to speed" while the rest moved quickly through two NPOA drills then forward with to more AQT's.   Lunch, with yet more history from Dave, again welcome by all.  After lunch, AQTs and AQTs with steady improvement till things began to really fall into place.  With several attendees knocking right at the door of Rifleman we knew it was only a matter of time and then............ Joe broke the ice, ONE Rifleman,  then a wild scramble .......  as Carl, Seth, and Scott all fired 210 or better on the last two AQTs of the day ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^
Maybe it was the round robin of DOM stories, or maybe it was the fact that Joe, having broken through early just kept firing  Rifleman AQTs over and over........But I personally think it was dedication, persistence and a very teachable attitude displayed by all the attendees.
Congratulations to all ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^

Special thanks to:

The Attendees who all brought determination, dedication, persistence, and above all that pleasant,  teachable attitude that made you all a pleasure to work with.
