I hear every once in a while an instructor letting new shooters know where to get inexpensive slings.  Commonly I hear "you can buy them for $8 at CMP".  While CMP does list slings for $7.95, they charge $6.95 for shipping for 1 sling.  That's about $15 for a GI sling.  Lets not lead the new shooters in the wrong direction, and set their expectations properly, so CMP slings are $15 when you factor in shipping, unless the person is going to buy a whole lot of other stuff and maybe get a discount on those shipping charges.

Just for comparison, CDNN sells them for $18.98 shipped, and Cheaper than Dirt is $26.94 shipped to Colorado.

Just trying to keep folks expectations in line when we are informing new shooters!
