We had a great time on Saturday with 3 shooters. Gavin and Tim returned to their second AS looking for that patch, and Michael was there for his first. August in the central valley is usually a broiler, but we had a very mild day and even a nice cool breeze in the AM. No shooters on Sunday, so Saturday was definitely the high point.

Tim was able to shoot Rifleman three times, and Gavin pulled it out on the last AQT after being sooooo close for most of the afternoon. Well done all! Michael was determined to return, and we hope to see all again on the AS Trail.

Thanks to Chukar Hunter-a brand new IIT-for coming out especially because there aren't many instructors left in this area after 4 moved during the summer and another is MIA. Time for some more new orange hats around here. Hope to post some pics later in the week.

Nice job holding down the fort!  Sounds like you have attendees of a certain quality if not quantity out there.  I eagerly want to attend one of your shoots...just need to make the time.

2 Riflemen out of 3 students...nice!  Two riflemen on only their second AS...that says a bunch about both the teacher and the students.

thanks Mr P. It's discouraging when no one shows up, so I'm always happy with any number of attendees. Both shooters were pretty determined, and it paid off for them. I'll be SB for Fresno for the rest of the year if one of those dates works for you. See you on the Trail.
