Thank you everyone for your Rifleman's persistence through Saturday's downpours/deluges and your excellent teachable attitudes throughout the entire weekend. All of our students at the inaugural Hayward Appleseed showed soon to be realized Rifleman potential. Please come back soon and continue your journey towards that well-deserved Rifleman's patch.

I would like to express a special thank you to Rusty Red who is the backbone of keeping our excursion into the wilderness of NW Wisconsin organized and flowing like the well-oiled machine we aspire to be.

Thank you also to Dicey for finally putting on that Orange Hat and helping us work with another group of great Americans. Please continue to join us on the NW WI Appleseed trail.

I want to thank all who put on this event.  I am pretty new to shooting and was amazed at the things possible with the right training and practice. I have probably put a total of 400 rounds thru my old Winchester, so you can imagine what an eye opener this was.  Finding out you are not destined to remain a mediocre shooter is cool.  Also, these folks make it fun, almost always better than not fun.

I was even inspired to go out and get a dirt cheap, er...inexpensive .22 , which it turns out is a tack driver.....that jams some.  Hehe, so far it's less reliable than my 75 year old bolt action but when its on it shoots faster and at least as well.  Will work on the jamming issue , get some practice in and then get to another Appleseed weekend.

Time to brush up on history too.  Way (way ) back in school, it was an assigment, no doubt it's more interesting now that I am not being told I have to read it.

Rice Lake, Gordon and Spooner are right around the corner. Hope to see you at one if not all of them.Hehe, so far it's less reliable than my 75 year old bolt action but when its on it shoots faster and at least as well.  Will work on the jamming issue , get some practice in and then get to another Appleseed weekend.
