Yeah, me again...I have just noticed...(Duhhh)...That my new Marlin 795 has swivel mounting posts but no swivels...Am I observant or what...ANyway, can some of you Marlin 795 shooters recommend a good set of swivels that will fit the 795 and the USGI sling (purchased from the RWVA store)? Thanks a lot for your patience!

I've got an assortment of sling swivels I've collected over the past few years.    Best bang for the buck is Uncle Mike's 1 1/4" Quick Disconnect . .

Around here (Atlanta, GA) the brain trusts at WalMart decided that they did not need to stock both 1" & 1.25" sling swivels and opted for the 1".  Just BRILLIANT!  I was helping a friend get set to attend his first Appleseed and was about ready to give up looking for sling swivels and go to my stash in my Appleseed bag when we stopped in a local Army/Navy - Gun store.  Sure enough they had a rack full of Uncle Mike's 1" swivels but no 1.25".  Just as we were about to leave I asked why they didn't carry 1.25" swivels.  The salesperson hollered across the store "you got any 1.25" swivels?  The response was how many do you want?  They had a large quantity of "take offs" of all varieties at $2.95 each.  I bought a double handful and they let me sort through to select what I wanted.  Long post for, check your local surplus store.

My favorite sling swivels are the Talon 1 1/4 inch.

My local Walmart has the same bias...Only stocks 1" swivels...Found a pair of Uncle Mikes 1.25" swivels at a gun shop in Dodge City...$7.95....Thanks for all of the advice and info...
