Sunny skies and hot temps did not deter 3 men from earning their Rifleman patches this weekend at Buckingham's DAR AS. Sat. proved to be a trial with no Rifleman scores; well one would have if his neighbor had not loaded up his target with a fair amount of not so good shots. This older gentleman was a good sport about it- God bless those 'dangerous old men'. Sun started off a little slow on the scores, but after lunch scores peaked before the AQT grind could beat them out of their hard earned place in the ranks of Riflemen. Hope to see all of these fine folks at future event with friends and family.

If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget you were our countrymen.
Sam Adams

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force: Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined." -- Patrick Henry

Great  Job instructors and students! It was a warm, but very productive weekend. 3 new riflemen. A few others almost there. Fellowship. History. Good stuff.

"There's a great deal of talk about loyalty from the bottom to the top. Loyalty from the top down is even more necessary and is much less prevalent. One of the most frequently noted characteristics of great men who have remained great is loyalty to their subordinates."
