We have had a great day in the Last Best Place! Yes, it was a little windy, but Riflemen persist and we saw lots of improvement from the shooters over the course of the day. All that signed up, showed up. Unfortunately, no Rifleman patches handed out today, but there is always tomorrow. Here's the Redcoat scores from this morning and this evening, respectively:

AM Redcoat
100 - 2
200 - 1
300 - 1
400 - 0
HS - 1

PM Redcoat:
100 - 3
200 - 3
300 - 2
400 - 1
HS - 2

History was presented and readily soaked up by the students. It is safe to say everybody learned something today! Now we need to come back tomorrow and build upon what was laid down today!  O0

You know the wind is going to blow when you see whitecaps on the stubble field on the way out to the range

This was the first time that Appleseed has been in GF! and half way thru the event we were allready trying to figure out when to have our next one!!

I want to thank everyone that was a part of this! from the great instuctors(that traveled great distance) to the students that particapated! we all put in a lot of hardwork and it was worth every second!

Thank you! O0

Great folks up at Great Falls.
A little wind on Saturday did not deter them. no one got bit by a "skeeter" all day long!
Sunday the air was much calmer but still managed to blow down a couple target backers.
Congratulations Dave for earning the coveted patch.
Michelle, What persistence! Shooting every relay, both days! While others would take a break you were on the line slapping that bolt back and forth. Keep at you can do it!
Jon, you are consistently close. It's just going to take a small breakthrough.
Rob, and Joe, Rob is so close. Joe, think about the info we gave you when you use all of it the shooting will come together.
Jeff, great to see you again keep practicing, do some dryfireing or shooting at least once a week. The skill of of the rifleman is perishable.
Tylor, Come back with a rifle/ammo/sling combo that work together.
Kevin and Oscar, glad you could come on Saturday.
Willam, hopeful you can make both day next time.
Paul and Rob, old habits die hard, keep working on the natural point of aim, try to get lower on the elbows and keep at it.
Scott, You came to improve your shooting. Read all the hand-outs you got at sign up. I think you are the kind of guy who learns a lot from reading.
Thank you Denise, Tyson, Steve, and
Diane, a rifleman should bring a lunch so you can shoot too, Thanks for all the burgers and hot dogs!

I was a little leary of what the weekend would bring when we started it off with an encounter with a bachelor herd on the freeway on our way... but wow did it turn out Great!!!  What a nice range to be on (even with the blowy stuff on Saturday!)  Everyone came ready to shoot and shoot they did  :)  For those of us that don't get to see jets flying over all the time- that was neat ;)  Thanks to all that helped set this up and get such a great turn out for the first one in town!!  Michelle was so dedicated and with some practice running that bolt without moving the whole body- you'll get there!!  Congrats to Dave on finally breaking that 210!!  It was great to have Steve come up from the Vegas area- THANK YOU!!!  Nice job calling the line.  Diane- Mark is right- next time you need to shoot!!!  But thanks for feeding us and watching my little ones with Dave so I could shoot a little!  It was so cool to have the flint lock demo- and he even let some of the shooters try it out.

Here's the rest ;)

Just to say it again. I had a great time and am looking forward to the next one.
