This one was a doozy!
Four shooters braved the hot desert sun to join us in marksmanship and heritage.  April, Jason, Bobby and Matt showed up Saturday morning ready to go.  Matt was our newest appleseeder, for many others this was a repeat attendance.
The day was quite warm and the wind was relentless. We took several hydration breaks throughout the day.
This history was told at lunch, and after a few more instructional periods, two AQTs were shot by the end of the day.
Much improvement was made by all parties.
On Sunday, we were joined by another return appleseeder.  All returnees made awesome improvement on their scores.  Due to the heat and wind, we ended the event half an hour early to give everyone a little rest.
But not before we awarded Matt his rifleman patch.  Matt persisted through the heat and wind and blowing dirt to shoot a score of 211 on Sunday afternoon!
Congratulations Matt.
It was a fun shoot by all, thanks to everyone and the instructors for coming out and assisting.  We'll see you all again in September!

The Summer heat was on.

30 MPH steady winds. Gusts to ???

Dust.

Challenges.

A Rifleman's playground.

Need to learn about heat and the wind if you want to shoot in Nevada. Time to learn about your equipment and yourself.

All taken in stride by a group of dedicated Americans.

Persistence.

Familiar faces tackling familiar challenges. And some new ones too.

Significant improvement was shown by all shooters. The seeds have been planted. We will be harvesting some Riflemen this fall.

Congrats Matt! Welcome to the Nevada Rifleman Family.

Trebleshooter wore some the shine off her Green Hat hosting an excellent efficient event. Well done.

Marksmanship, heritage in the desert. It doesn't get much better than this.

Until the next time.
